Why is it that at Wednesday night prayer meeting the women outnumber the men by 12 to 1??? All these single men show up to church on Sabbath obviously to see the ladies all polished up...cuz when its time to come to church on Wednesday just to pray... jeans and t-shirt... Bible and Jesus, they are no where to be found.
I refuse to settle for a boyfriend who is just "kicking it," chillin, hanging out with the boys, hanging out with the girls, hanging out at the crib, watchin the game, or any other variation of the above.
If I am working hard to be somebody and know the Lord, he needs to be working harder. Men are supposed to be the leaders! I refuse to bust my butt in school and at work, just to fight the preoccupation of wondering where and with whom my unoccupied boyfriend loitereth.
I will be like Claire Huxtable (successful black bilingual woman married to an equally – or arguably more successful man). Or I will be like Paul - SINGLE. Cuz I can do bad all by myself.
I just kinda think it would make things a lot easier to be on an equal playing field with my significant other. Trust and respect would come more naturally becuase we would understand each other's struggle. In the end, I recognize that I know nothing and that God’s will for me is a better one... so this rant is done. I'm giving it to Him.
